Tickets from the Ticket Ballot

The Ticket Resale Platform for The 152nd Open is now live. Fans who were successful in the Ticket Ballot can list their tickets for sale on the Resale Platform at face value, without fees.

To list a ticket for sale on the Ticket Resale Platform, please visit our website, TheOpen.com. The login button is located in the top right-hand corner of the website. From there, please follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in using your email and password
  2. Click your name and select 'My Account'
  3. Select 'Ticket Resale Platform' in the menu
  4. Select ‘Sell Tickets' to be taken to the platform
  5. Choose the tickets you wish to sell and list them

If you are using a mobile device, there will be an option in the menu that states ‘select tickets for resale’.

If you are using a computer, you will need to click on your name displayed on the top right-hand-side of the page (after you have logged in) and it will bring a menu up that will also display an option that states ‘select tickets for resale’.

Practice Day Tickets Purchased Directly

Fans who were unsuccessful in the Ticket Ballot  who purchased Practice Day tickets directly can also list their tickets for sale on the Ticket Resale Platform.

The process for listing tickets for sale will be slightly different to the usual process in your case as your tickets were purchased during a general sale rather than through a Ticket Ballot application. Therefore, please follow the below instructions carefully.

To access the Ticket Resale Platform, please sign into your My Account by visiting https://www.theopen.com/. The login button is located in the top right-hand corner of the web page.

From there, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in using your email and password.
  2. Click your name and select 'My Account'
  3. Select 'Ticket Resale Platform' in the menu
  4. Select 'Buy Tickets' to be taken to the platform

At this stage, the process will be slightly different depending on whether you are using a mobile device, or a desktop.

  1. If you are using a mobile device, there will be an option in the menu that states ‘select tickets for resale’.
  2. If you are using a computer, you will need to click on your name displayed on the top right-hand-side of the page (after you have logged in) and it will bring a menu up that will also display an option that states ‘select tickets for resale’.

Other Important Information

The purchase of any ticket(s) on the Ticket Resale Platform is final – you will not be able to re-list any ticket(s) purchased on the Resale Platform for resale and you will not be eligible for a refund. The full Terms and Conditions of Sale can be found here. For more information, click here.

The Ticket Resale Platform allows ticket holders to list Adult and Youth (16-24) tickets for sale. If you have Junior (or Carer) tickets that you no longer require, these will be removed after your tickets have sold. If you would like to keep these tickets please let us know via the Contact Us form and we will retain these tickets for you. Please also note that Youth, Junior and Carer tickets can be upgraded to another tariff.

Please note that we are unable to guarantee whether all tickets listed on the Ticket Resale Platform will be sold. We would therefore encourage you to list any tickets you no longer intend to use as soon as possible to maximise the chances of them being sold.
