Why is there a Service Fee when buying tickets?

One Club members purchasing tickets via the Ticket Resale Platform will be charged a service fee equalling 5% of the total value of the purchaser's basket at the time of purchase.  For example, a basket of £100 would add a Service Fee of £5 and a basket of £150 would add a Service Fee of £7.50.

All tickets sold via the Ticket Resale Platform are done so at face value. This small Service Fee helps to support The R&A's purpose to open golf to the world, and to get more people playing and engaging with the sport more frequently worldwide.
