What can I do if I am unsuccessful in the Ticket Ballot?

If you entered the Ticket Ballot for The Open and have been notified that you have been unsuccessful, please check the email notification for additional opportunities to attend The Open which may be available to unsuccessful Ballot applicants. 

 

Please read below for alternative ways to attend The 155th Open.


Ticket Plus

Through Ticket Plus you will enjoy access to Links, a specially designed area that brings a relaxed festival vibe and exclusive food and beverage options while keeping you close to the on-course action. Watch the world’s best players from dedicated viewing platforms strategically placed around the course, offering outstanding views and vantage points. With undercover and outdoor seating back at base, you can walk the course at ease and head back to refuel whenever you like.

Ticket Resale Platform

The Ticket Resale Platform for The 155th Open will launch in 2027. The Ticket Resale Platform will be a secure place for One Club members to offer any unwanted General Admission or Ticket Plus tickets for The 155th Open for sale to other fans until the end of the Championship on 18 July 2027. 


Unsuccessful Ticket Ballot applicants will be invited to purchase any listed tickets when the platform launches. More information can be found here.


Third-Party Resale

Please note that The R&A does not permit the resale of tickets on third-party websites, ticket sales platforms or marketplaces. This means that any tickets being sold on any third-party ticket resale sites or public marketplaces are being sold without the R&A's consent. Adult general admission tickets for The Open range in price from £40 - £190. Click here for a list of face-value prices. 


Any general admission tickets being sold for higher than the prices above are not authorised by The R&A and may not be genuine tickets.  


The R&A maintains a strong position that it is against our Terms and Conditions to sell tickets on public forums, third-party sites or for excess of the original face value of the ticket. Any tickets identified for sale or found to have been sold in such a manner are subject to cancellation without refund.
