How do I upgrade a ticket after it has been transferred?

Youth and Junior* tickets that have been transferred to a guest can be upgraded to a different ticket type by the purchaser of the ticket if the recipient does not meet the criteria for the ticket. 

 

However, tickets which have been transferred via The Open Tickets app may not be upgraded by the recipients, such tickets must be returned to the purchaser, who can then Contact Us to upgrade them.


A ticket that has been transferred can be given back to the original owner by opening the ticket on The Open Tickets app and pressing the yellow "return transferred ticket" button. 


* Only Junior tickets obtained via the Ticket Ballot for The 152nd Open can be upgraded. Junior tickets which have been added to purchases made via the Ticket Resale Platform cannot be upgraded.
