The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale
Royal Birkdale will welcome the world’s best golfers for The 154th Open in 2026. Golf’s original championship will return to the venue for the first time since Jordan Spieth’s dramatic victory at The 146th Open seven years ago – and you can guarantee even more magical moments in the quest for the Claret Jug this time around.
Make the most of the atmosphere in our Spectator Village, explore The Open Shop for must-have merchandise, enjoy a variety of activities for all ages, refuel and refresh with a range of food and drink options to purchase, and follow your favourite players as they battle it out at golf’s original championship.
The ticket ballot is available exclusively to members of One Club, the free-to-join digital membership programme presented by Mastercard, and ticket applications can be submitted from now until 25 July. A high level of demand is anticipated for Championship Days and so fans can increase their chances of being selected in the ballot by also including non-Championship days in their application.
Ticket prices for The 154th Open will start from £30 for an adult on the opening Sunday rising throughout the week of the Championship to £150 for the final round as history is made and the Champion Golfer of the Year lifts the famous Claret Jug.
The R&A is fully committed to encouraging more children and young adults to attend The Open and free tickets will be available to children under 16 through the successful “Kids go Free” programme, while half-price youth tickets are available for 16-24-year-olds.
Please note, "Kids go Free" complimentary Junior tickets must also be applied for using the ticket ballot. They cannot be added to Ticket Ballot applications after the Ticket Ballot has concluded, and they will not be available at the gates. All attendees, regardless of age, will require a ticket.
Members of One Club can enter the Ticket Ballot using this link. The application period will be open from 1 July to 25 July 2025. If you require any guidance, instructions can be found here.
For fans who would like to skip the Ticket Ballot, a new range of premium hospitality experiences are also available to purchase now, giving fans the chance to guarantee their place at the Championship. For the first time ever, The R&A is making it easier for fans to be part of golf’s original major with new Destination Packages, allowing fans to select accommodation and travel options alongside their ticket.
