General Admission

Complimentary Junior tickets cannot be listed for sale on the Ticket Resale Platform and are thus not available for purchase via the Resale Platform.

All attendees, regardless of their age, must have a valid general admission ticket to attend the event because every person, no matter their age, counts towards the total spectator count for the Championship. This includes babies of any age.

The R&A provides complimentary Junior tickets upon request where there are Junior tickets available.

Current Junior Ticket Status (Updated 01 May 2026)

We may have a limited number of Junior tickets available for some days.  Please read the following paragraphs below for more information.

Please be aware that Junior ticket additions cannot be guaranteed even if tickets are available. Due to the limited availability of tickets on some days, we are prioritizing additions of Junior tickets for those who requested Junior tickets in their Ticket Ballot applications but were not successful, and those who have had additions to their family after purchasing their tickets in July and August 2025. 

Please note that any requests for Junior tickets which exceed the maximum limit of four tickets per day of any tariff cannot be granted except when a ticket purchaser has had or will have a baby, or has adopted a child after purchasing the tickets, prior to attending the event.

If we determine that your request for additional Junior ticket(s) can be granted but we cannot immediately fulfil your request we are now operating a waiting list for Junior tickets. Requests for Junior tickets on the waiting list will be fulfilled if and when Junior tickets become available in the order the requests are received.

If Junior tickets are currently not available for your day(s) of attendance, please be aware that under 16s can still be admitted to the event using Youth (16-24) or Adult tickets. This means that if you purchase an additional Adult or Youth ticket on the Resale Platform, a junior can enter using that ticket.

How to make a request?

To request the addition of Junior ticket(s), please use the Contact Us button to make a request with the Ticket Office. When you contact us, please state the details of your ticket order and the age(s) of the Junior spectators. Please note, junior tickets cannot be added via chat.

Ticket Plus

Junior spectators aged over 18 months require a full-price Ticket Plus ticket which you can purchase (subject to availability) on the Ticket Resale Platform or directly from The R&A via this link while availability permits. 

Babies under 18 months require a complimentary Junior Ticket Plus ticket. This must be arranged in advance and is strictly subject to availability. Please contact the Open Experiences team to request the addition of a complimentary Junior Ticket Plus ticket as soon as possible by emailing Experiences@TheOpen.com.
