There are several ways to watch the action around the course at The Open. These include sitting in one of our free grandstand seats, taking a rest in our Spectator Village, watching the action from a viewing platform or via one of the many large screens located around the venue.

Grandstands

There will be thousands of public seats located around the course. Grandstand seating will be available at the 1st Tee, and the 1st, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 17th and 18th Greens. Grandstand Seating will also be available at the Practice Ground for spectators to sit and enjoy the world's best prepare for action.

Viewing Platforms

Standing viewing platforms will be available for spectators to see the action. These will be available at the 4th, 15th and 16th Tees and the 4th, 12th and 15th Greens.

Spectator Villages

Take a break from the course and spend some time at one of the Spectator Villages at Royal Birkdale. With a number of food and beverage offers, a dedicated kids play area, and giant TV screens, there is no need to miss any of the golf. You can even have a free 15-minute lesson with a PGA professional at The Open Swingzone.

Large Screens

Keep up to date with all the action through one of the many electronic leader boards situated around the course. Or relax and watch the day unfold on the large video screens located in the Spectator Village area.
